Owners & Property Management

Does BMS guarantee rent?

No. BMS does not offer guaranteed rent as a standard service, and we do not promise zero vacancy. We focus on organized management, maintenance coordination, and clear owner communication to help support your property’s performance over time.

What types of properties does BMS manage?

BMS works with property owners, landlords, and investors across single-family rentals, multifamily buildings, and similar residential properties throughout Greater Boston. If you are unsure whether your property is a fit, request a Property Assessment and we can discuss it.

Maintenance & Tenants

Does BMS handle maintenance directly?

BMS coordinates maintenance and oversees the process for owners. Licensed or specialized work is performed by qualified, licensed professionals when required. Our role is to organize, document, and communicate maintenance clearly.

How do tenants submit maintenance requests?

Tenants can submit non-emergency maintenance requests through the Tenant Support page using our online maintenance request form. We follow up to coordinate the appropriate next steps.

What happens in an emergency?

For any life-safety emergency, call 911 or the appropriate emergency service first. After ensuring safety, tenants should report the issue so BMS can coordinate follow-up. The online form is for non-emergency requests only.

Does BMS serve Portuguese and Spanish speakers?

Yes. BMS supports communication in English, Portuguese, and Spanish to help owners and tenants feel informed and understood.

Brokerage & Compliance

Does BMS provide brokerage services?

BMS is a property management and maintenance coordination company. When brokerage activities are needed, they are handled by a Massachusetts-licensed broker partner under a separate written agreement. BMS does not perform brokerage services that require a license on its own.

Who handles showings and applications?

Leasing-related activities such as showings and applications, when applicable, are coordinated with a Massachusetts-licensed broker partner under written agreement. BMS supports the process through communication and coordination.

Does BMS collect SSNs or credit / background data on the website?

No. The BMS public website does not collect Social Security numbers, bank login details, credit card numbers, or credit/background application data. Please never submit that type of sensitive information through the website forms.
